Dr. Mark Mautner is our Senior Dentist at the Wilkes Public Health Dental Clinic, with over 30 years of experience. Before coming to our clinic, he practiced at a family practice Hembroke Pines in Florida from 1983-2014. He was also an associate professor at the University of Florida College of Dentistry.
Dr. Keara Vincent is a graduate of UNC Chapel Hill Adams School of Dentistry. She is originally from Hampton, VA and obtained her Cum Laude Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Sciences from North Carolina State University. She loves to participate in philanthropy projects and is dedicated to providing exceptional dental services to the community. When not serving those in need, Dr. Vincent enjoys spending her free time with her husband, trying new foods and traveling. She looks forward to taking care of you and you families comprehensive dental needs with a gentle touch and sincere heart.
Dr. Pickett grew up in Wilkes County and is a graduate of North Wilkes High School. Dr. Pickett graduated from Appalachian State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in chemistry with a minor in biology. While at Appalachian State University he completed Organic II Chemistry Honors. He completed his doctorate at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and is currently a member of the North Carolina Dental Society. While in dental school Dr. Pickett volunteered at the Wake Brook Clinic to help provide free dental care for underserved and unserved patients. He, also, volunteered for North Carolina Missions of Mercy providing services in 12 clinics to help provide free dental services to underserved patients. As a student dentist, Dr. Pickett treated underserved and medically compromised patients at the Commwell Health Penderlea and at the Pamlico Community Health Center. In his free time, Dr. Pickett enjoys tennis and hiking. Dr. Pickett states that he excited to be serving folks in his home county who are in need of quality dental care which will ultimately improve their overall health and well-being.
Dr. Monica Henao
Dr. Monica Henao DMD, graduated from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, Boston MA in 2015 and started practicing right after.
Dr. Henao has practiced in private practice and a Community Health Center where she treated patients of all ages.
She is a General Dentist who enjoys all aspects of dentistry including: pediatric dentistry, crowns and bridges, removable dentures, root canals, fillings, extractions, cosmetic dentistry, etc.
Dr. Henao enjoys learning, she is constantly taking CE courses to keep herself informed of the most recent advances in dentistry.
Dr. Henao has volunteered in several Give Kids a Smile events providing free dental care to children. She is also a volunteer reader of the news at the North Carolina Reading Service in Raleigh a radio station for the vision impaired.
In addition, she served as a Board Member of the Massachusetts Hispanic Dental Association for 3 years. She is a current member of the American Dental Association and North Carolina Dental Society.
She is fluent in Spanish.
When she’s not improving her patient’s quality of life through dentistry, Dr. Henao enjoys spend-ing time with her family, exercising and traveling.
